Metal Roof and Wall panels, Rain Screens and composite materials developed in recent years have expanded the possibilities in building design, including;

Standing-seam metal panels provide a sophisticated, modern feel to a buildings architecture. Standing-seam panels have concealed attachment ( no exposed fasteners ) and are attached to the buildings using a clip system. Standing-seam panels come in a side variety of panel widths and seam heights. Standing-seam panels can be used for both roof and wall applications.

Batten-Seam metal panels are similar to standing-seam panels but provide more options in seam width and appearance, providing a more pronounced seam appearance. Batten-seam panels can be used for both roof and wall applications.

Corrugated metal roof and wall panels ( exposed fastener and concealed attachment options ) offer a wide range of panel seam shapes and sizes, providing a more traditional look to building design. Corrugated panel systems offer some cost savings due to lower installation labor.

Flush-panel systems provide a smooth, flat appearance to wall cladding design. Flush panels have concealed-attachment and can be used in most wall and soffit applications.

Composite wall panels offer large panel size with minimal panel distortion ( oil canning ). Composite panels are made with a plastic core sandwiched between two layers of metal, typically aluminum. Typical composite colors include standard and custom Kynar colors, anodize and mill finish. Composite panels can also be provided in natural metals such as copper, zinc, bronze, stainless steel.

A rain screen is an exterior cladding system that sits away from a building's outside wall's weather-resistant barrier, creating an air cavity directly behind the cladding that helps protect the buildings important weather-resistant barrier. This allows any moisture that may pass by the cladding to easily drain away from the building, and the air that flows between the cladding and the wall accelerates evaporation of any residual moisture. Rain screen panel materials include fiber-cement, phenolic resin, terra cotta and wood-resin composites. Rains screens, like aluminum composite systems, allow for large size panels with minimal distortion and a wider selection of material, finishes and colors.

Architectural Metal, Inc. specializes in bringing unique solutions to building roof and wall cladding design. AMI’s approach is team-oriented, working with owners, architects and general contractors to design and install cladding systems that will perform for decades or longer. AMI’s fabrication capabilities makes custom solutions easy. Rapid prototyping and mock ups speed-up the design process, saving time and money.
